Martina McBride Announces Fall Leg Of Soulful ‘Everlasting’ Tour

August 25, 2014 — 17 Comments

Martina McBride’s ‘Everlasting’ Tour has already seen the “petite powerhouse” (Rolling Stone Country) play sold-out shows across the country this year and will continue through the fall with 40 additional dates — seven of which have already sold-out.

Backed by an 11-piece band — including trumpet, tenor sax, bari sax and trombone and a trio of back-up singers — Martina’s live show brings the iconic sounds of the ’50s and ’60s from her ‘Everlasting’ album alive. “We’ve worked hard to put together a show that is visually entertaining as well as very rich musically,” shares Martina. “There’s so much for the audience to see and experience.”

“It’s familiar music coming from the one of the most recognizable voices of any genre, yet with a stage plot unlike anything in McBride’s illustrious 22-year career” (Rolling Stone Country).

The four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year puts her own spin on some of her favorite R&B and soul classics including the Supremes’ “Come See About Me,” Van Morrison’s “Wild Night” and Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” but also performs fan favorites like “A Broken Wing,” “Love’s The Only House,” “This One’s For The Girls,” “Independence Day,” and “In My Daughter’s Eyes.”

“I feel like this show really takes the audience on a musical journey,” says McBride. “The songs from Everlasting and my hits blend seamlessly together throughout the night.”

Seven dates on the Fall leg have already sold-out, including Meridian, MS, Forrest City, AR, Lake Charles, LA, two dates in Nashville, Midland, TX and Dayton, OH.

August Fan of the Month!

August 3, 2014 — 7 Comments

My name is Chad, andP1050150 I’m from Kiln, Mississippi (on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast).  I am a seventh grade teacher and am currently working on a degree in educational administration.  I am honored to be Martina’s Fan of the Month for August (my birthday month)!

I’ve been a Martina fan ever since I saw her perform the song “Whatever You Say” on the ACM Awards in 1999 (fifteen years ago)!  I saw Martina’s show in Montgomery in mid July, and I was so happy to hear her sing my favorite song live!  The Everlasting Tour is very different from other Martina tours, but it is truly amazing!  I love all the musicians with their instruments, “her girls” (she doesn’t like the term “background singers”), and the soulful feel of the show!  I’ve been fortunate to meet Martina a few times at her fantastic fan club parties and a couple concerts!  She’s always so gracious, and you can tell she truly cares about her fans!

Cape Cod Times Review: Martina McBride Belts Out Ballads and Blues

July 28, 2014 — 1 Comment

“It’s one thing to watch a performer who’s clearly talented and shines on stage. But when that performer is truly a superstar, it’s an experience unlike any other.

Martina McBride is a superstar, and the country singer proved that Saturday night when she took the stage at a sold-out Melody Tent as part of her “Everlasting” tour. Looking fierce in a sequined gold suit and sky-high heels, McBride, along with her impressive band — all dressed in matching blue suits — enthralled concertgoers with her 24-song set lasting just over two hours.”
