So STOKED to be representin’ Martina this month! Sooo, I hopped on this bandwagon a bit late..didn’t listen to country, AT ALL – I listened to Grunge, Alternative and other genres. BUT, one morning in 2006, I heard this IN-FRIGGN-CREDIBLE voice, emanating from my TV! I casually strolled, ok- I galloped, to my living room to see who this soprano belonged to…Twas MARTINA McBRIDE & she was singin’ Rose Garden, which was my Dad’s fave tune, so I actually knew the words! Heard about the TIMELESS CD, bought it, played it incessantly, and promptly bought the rest of Miss THANG’s catalog! At that point I was pretty sunk. Best voice EVAH!! Saw my 1st Martina concert a few months later, (she RAWKS in concert, y’all!!) and that pretty much cemented the fact that she is my FAVE (Move over, Courtney Love)! Since then, I have been to many, many, many shows all over the country and been so blessed with so many great opportunities to attend Fan Club Par-tays , events etc. I am part of Team Martina, which has changed my life and the team would not exist if it wasn’t for Martina and her song choices and her charitable endeavors (and Sheila.) She truly has inspired me to be a better person AND I have been able to meet so many AWESOME friends and made so many unforgettable memories (OH, and 0, count ‘em, ZERO arrests since 2006) Coincidence? I think not. If yer at this year’s Fan Club Party- hit me up & say HI! I CANNOT thank Martina enuff! Gotta give a shout-out to the QUEEN of Fan Relations as well- T Weave makes it fun to b a MEMBA! HOLLA!
