I still love to eat Cheerios...
oh well, nothing ground-breaking as far as my entry for the "Do What You Love" Grand Prize Contest, but I enjoyed writing it.
Not sure what type of "story" the winner had...
Cheerios online did not have any details.

"SIMPLY DAD"--

Look up in the sky; it is Super Grover as he journeys to another exciting adventure. Everyday, my children make me feel like the beloved Sesame Street character. I am invigorated as we travel to our own worlds and satisfy our endless curiosities with many enriching activities. I am Dad, and Isaac and Martina are my passion.
From the first hugs as I arrive home to bed-time stories and goodnight prayers, we learn, laugh and play. There is hide n’ seek, trampoline jumping, the park’s playground, fire-fly catching, and singing and dancing around to music. With a full work schedule, these are the opportunities for me to engage in physical exercise, and they are the moments that have made me a better person.
Raising children has taught me to first look beyond routine work, the size of bedrooms, or the latest clothes, and instead see things from my children’s perspective, by listening to their dreams. A great aid in helping me visualize the art of listening is Martina McBride’s song, House of a Thousand Dreams, a tale that masterfully captures the essence of fatherhood. I feel very connected to this song of family, right down to the singing crickets, and I truly believe that a healthy heart comes from exercising compassion, mercy and unselfishness. My own wish is for my children to continue to develop into happy, well-adjusted people and to someday know how super they have made me feel, but for now I am simply Dad.
