New window links?
I've explained this before, but I'll just let the usability experts explain why opening a browser link in a new window is bad.
Especially when you are striving for Section 508c.

I can go on but Google can provide more reasons if you feel so fit.

Hi Vinnie..after Brent made the "personal preference" comment about one of my posts asking for a "new window" for something (I only asked because it was a feature on the old forum that was used a lot and had the disclaimer with it that you were opening a new window to view)..I wasn't going to reply again on this topic. But...I just wanted to discuss this a little further because of your links. First of all, thanks for posting the links. It helps us to see your point of view and why the decision was made to have things open in the current window. I guess one good thing about the current/latest browsers is they allow for users to set links to open how they like them..so if someone likes everything to open in the current window/tab they can..but if someone else wants everything to open in the same window but just a new tab, they can do that, too. For me personally, I like that you have links that lead to pages within this site set to open in this tab while links that lead outside of this site open in a new tab. Photos especially. So thanks for going against your standard to please the members on this subject.
