Hi folks!
Thought I'd better add to my profile now that it's all systems go with the Direct Messages/Friend Requests, etc (thanks Tracy, Team McBride & GC for making this possible - it's great news!!).
Where do I start? Well, as you can see from my user name , my name is Di (short for Diane), and I 'm from England. My hubby and I live near to London . We have been married for 24 years .
We first heard about Martina around 1994 when CMT Europe used to broadcast in the UK, and we've loved her music ever since. It was a dream come true last year when we saw her live in London for the very first time. I can't quite believe that we're lucky enough to get to see her a second time when she comes back to London in June, less than a year after we first saw her. Thank you, Martina for coming back to the UK and Ireland so soon - you've made us all so very, very happy over here!!
++++As you can see, I wrote that before the European Tour was postponed!! Following the advice of Ticketmaster, I am holding on to our tickets in the hope that a new London date will be arranged in the not too distant future.....fingers crossed!!!++++
Hmmmm.....I've now been contacted by Ticketmaster and the London gig is well and truly cancelled....so much for crossing my fingers!! Perhaps Martina will come over to this side of the pond next year instead.......I certainly hope so, anyway!!!
I have a varied taste in music, but Country is a firm favourite of mine. I love it! Here's a list of some of the artists I've seen over the years when they've toured here (some of you may remember me doing something similar on the old Martinaville).........
Shania Twain
LeAnn Rimes
Billy Ray Cyrus (he's much better than " Achy,Breaky Heart" might suggest!)
The Mavericks - a couple of times.
Hal Ketchum - a couple of times.
Steve Earle - even more times!
and last, but certainly not least, the one and only
***********MARTINA!!************
Some non-country acts I've seen down the years:
My no.1 in this category - TINA TURNER - then in no particular order......
Anastacia / John Mellencamp
Heart / Foreigner
Meat Loaf / Robert Cray Band
Reo Speedwagon/ Nils Lofgren
Fleetwood Mac / Boston
Alicia Keys / Iron Maiden
Belinda Carlisle/ AC/DC
Cher/ Rush
Thank you for reading.
