OMG...Dayna..the drive home...what took me 80 minutes to drive to the show....took 240 minutes, yes, 4 hours to drive home. It was a total whiteout. Had I known it was going to be that bad..I would have just stayed at Megan's. I was heading North, but the South bound I-29 must have had 30+ semi's and just as many cars in the ditches, flipped upside down..it was awful, hope the injuries are at a minimal. The show was great, got a few decent photos..but the drive home sort of sucked the fun out of the evening. Then when I got home...I had to park in the street instead of the garage...the alley leading to the garage is drifted over with a drift about 5 ft. tall. UGH! I never park my car out in the elements! Good thing I already scheduled tomorrow morning off work, I need sleep! Hope you guys have a safe drive/trip home!!!
Hey Dayna..well, the weather has held out, not supposed to get snow and 50mph winds til tonight...hopefully after the show...lol My dad is still hanging in there and I need a break from the stress of it all. As long as he's stable this afternoon, I'm going to drive down for the show and drive home afterward. Driving with the tunes going is a stress reliever, and trying to enjoy the show might be just what I need to get through this. I'll text ya when I get there and give ya our seat #'s..so we can say hi for a few minutes. Look forward to seeing you again, it's been a while! :O)
Dayna...I won't be making the trek either. Family comes first...and I'm needed here. But the weather would have prevented it too, as I'm in the same weather band you are. I actually think it's looks pretty cool out right now..3ft. of snow on the ground with a good inch of ice in top of it. I'm not being sarcastic..it looks cool...lol I can't say it's been fun to drive in or shovel/snow blow/ maintain the walks though. Hope everyone that does make it has safe travels.
