The date mentioned in the title is not a date I like to think about or remember. But it is one of those times when you think about what you have and then think about just how lucky you are to have it. Not just material things, but the sentimental things, and the people that you have in your life.
On February 10, 2008...I got the news that no one ever wants to get. My 18 year old cousin (who is only 2 months older than me, and was more of a brother to me than a cousin), John Kaczmarski Jr. was killed in a snowmobiling accident just outside Syracuse, New York. He was inexperienced and hit a tree and was NOT wearing a helmet.
I cannot stress how important that wearing a helmet and taking every safety precaution when doing ANYTHING is!!! I don't want anyone else to have to deal with a loss like that. It was hard enough for me, and I know what the pain in my heart was and is still like. Please everyone just be safe about things. Be mindful of safety.
Please keep my family in your prayers if you happen to read this blog. I cannot tell you how much I miss him on a daily basis...Not a day goes by where I do not think of him.
