New Year Update
Hey everybody! Happy New Year!
So this is the time of year when, typically, we start talking about a fresh start, resolutions, making plans for the year and all that. And we look back over the past year, reliving the high spots, looking at all the "best of" lists, and thinking about how we can do it all better in the year to come.
Well, I guess this blog will fit right in. I was going to try and come up with something different...a new take, a different angle...on the typical new year blog. But, honestly, I am tired and a little "blah". I'm trying to figure out if it's a let down from the high of all the Christmas and New Year's excitement? Or if I am just toxic and out of shape from all the indulging I have done over the holidays. Because, let's face it, the holidays are really just a time (for most of us) when we say "to heck with it" and let it all hang loose. Literally. As in, I only wear baggy, shapeless clothing starting at Thanksgiving and continuing through the first week of January....when I finally have had enough and resolve to get back on track. Which, for me, means making healthy choices about food, starting a workout program, saying no to that 2nd (ok, maybe 3rd) glass of wine, and trying to get more sleep. I know, without a doubt, that as fun as it's been to just let it all go, I will definitely have more energy and feel better in the next two weeks.
Now that's something to look forward to. Because I'm going to need all the energy I can get to carry out all the BIG plans I have for 2012! It's going to be the best year yet, and I am so happy and grateful I have you all along for the ride!

I agree that the mas holiday,which to me starts at Thanksgiving, is the time to endulge. I used to feel guilty about slacking off with my exercising during Christmas but I learned to stop being so extreme. I look forward to see you in Kettering at the Fraze this summer.
