MARTINA ADDED TO “THE 50TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS” AIRING WEDNESDAY, NOV. 2 ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

Martina is joining the lineup of superstars are 2016 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis; former Entertainer of the Year winners Ricky Skaggs and Roy Clark; former CMA Awards host Clint Black; CMA Awards winners Jason AldeanJennifer Nettles; 2016 CMA Awards nominees Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett; and multi-format sensations Elle KingPentatonix, and Dwight Yoakam.

“This is a celebration of Country Music – both contemporary and the classics – that is certain to resonate with music fans,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “’The 50th Annual CMA Awards’ will certainly reflect our history, but it is equally important to recognize our current nominees and the hits of today.”

“The 50th Annual CMA Awards” will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 2(8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Aldean has 14 CMA Awards nominations including three each for Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year. He has won twice, including Album of the Year in 2011 for My Kinda Party.

Black hosted the CMA Awards in 1993. He has 19 CMA Awards nominations to his credit and four wins, including Male Vocalist of the Year in 1990.

Clark hosted the annual gala in 1976. He has 23 career CMA Awards nominations and won seven times including Entertainer of Year in 1973.

Daniels was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October. He has 14 CMA Awards nominations and won three times, including once for Single of the Year for “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” (1979).

A soulful rising rock star, King received her first CMA Awards nomination this year for Musical Event of the Year with Dierks  Bentley for “Different for Girls.”

McBride has 30 CMA Awards nominations and has won five times – including four wins for Female Vocalist of the Year (1999, 2002-2004).

Nettles has four nominations as a solo performer and 17 nominations as part of Sugarland. She won Song of the Year for “Stay” and claimed the Vocal Duo of the Year trophy five times.

Pentatonix is no stranger to the CMA Awards stage. Last year they paid tribute to The Oak Ridge Boys, who were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015, with their a capella version of “Elvira.”

Thomas Rhett has four CMA Awards nominations including two in 2016 for Single and Song of the Year for “Die A Happy Man,” which he co-wrote.

Skaggs has 21 CMA Awards nominations and five wins, including the Horizon Award (now New Artist of the Year) in 1982 and Entertainer of the Year three years later (1985).

One of the top nominees in 2016, Stapleton’s list of nominations includes Entertainer (his first in the category); Male Vocalist; Single for “Nobody to Blame”; Music Video for “Fire Away”; and Musical Event of the Year with life and stage partner Morgane Stapleton (her first nomination) for “You Are My Sunshine.” Stapleton only receives one nomination for Single of the Year, but can receive an additional trophy as producer.

Travis was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October. He hosted the CMA Awards in 1990 and has 24 career nominations and five wins, including the Horizon Award in 1986 and Male Vocalist of the Year in 1987.

An actor and musical innovator, Yoakam has eight CMA Awards nominations including his first in 1986 for the Horizon Award until his most recent in 2001 for Vocal Event of the Year with Buck Owens.
