  1. Apple iPhone A Flop In China

    Wed, Nov 4, 2009 at 6:47 AM 1 Comments

Chinese sales figures show that less than 5,000 Iphones were sold in the first four days, compared with 140,000 that Jobs' Mob flogged in the US during its launch there. I guess Apple has to fail every now and then. Makes me wonder what kinds of really cool cell phones are already on the market in China. Anyone have any clue??

  2. http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1560505/filesharers-music-industry-customers This is something I've believed for some time now. Sure, it's possible people download and never buy the cds or pay to download tracks legally but I think there are a LOT of people who do use filesharing as a way to find new music they want to buy. What do you think?

  3. The Beatles

Listening to the new mono mixes of most of the Beatles catalog today. All I can say is there has never been another band like the Beatles and there will never be another that basically created a genre or two of music. After we go through the mono the stereo versions come next. I know in this day and age it's hard to imagine music in mono but it just works! The songwriting and...

  4. I Hate Time Changes

Sure, everyone says you get an extra hour of sleep in the fall. The problem is, I don't. I haven't been able to sleep much past 7AM for a while now, even if I go to bed at 2 or 3AM the night before. So today I was up at what was now a little after 6AM. Joy. Don't even get me started on how long it took me to get back on track after the 6 hour time difference in Ireland once we got...

  5. RIP Amy Ferris

It's a sad morning as I just found out that Amy Ferris passed away on September 30th. Amy was a truly talented and blessed musician and a very down to earth person. I remember seeing her for the first time playing along side Kelly Willis. She was just simply magical when she played the fiddle. I remember when her solo record came out, I fell in love with it because it was so original,...

  6. Cliff Lee Brilliant Against Yankees

    Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 5:51 AM 2 Comments

It was an amazing first game for a series where just about all the experts have picked the Yankees to walk away with the trophy. Cliff Lee pitched a magnificent game for the Phillies by going the distance and giving up only one unearned run in the 9th inning. He struck out A-Rod three times and pretty much mowed down the potent Yankee batters all night long. Tonight Pedro Martinez takes...

  7. Reuters is reporting that Nokia has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Apple for technology in the 2G and 3G iPhones. This is going to be an interesting one to watch because that would break down to about 15% of the retail price of every 3G iPhone sold. I always love it when two big companies like this go head to head. Sure, I think the patent system is completely out of...

  8. http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Neutral-Wireless-Networks-Will-Mean-Higher-Prices-105064 Like anything else the government gets involved in, net neutrality will be higher prices for you and me. Forcing all network operators to treat all traffic equally is just insane. Let the free market decide what services the public wants. And, oh yeah, the Internet isn't owned or controlled...

  9. I know, who would have guessed? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,568576,00.html?test=latestnews Adults with little Internet experience show changes in their brain activity after just one week online, a new study finds. The results suggest Internet training can stimulate neural activation patterns and could potentially enhance brain function and cognition in older adults....

  10. Titans Get Slammed 59-0

    Mon, Oct 19, 2009 at 6:48 AM 4 Comments

Wow, John McBride's Titans are just getting killed this year. Yesterday losing 59-0 and falling to 0-6 on the season. That's just plain bad! Actually, what that is really isn't fit to print on a family friendly site! On the bright side, looking at their website, they do have some very cute cheerleaders! So folks, we've all rooted for bad teams over the years.. What are the worst...
