Sorority Row
So.. getting into college was a breeze.. adjusting, however, is another story. The first week, I didn't know anyone but one person. I was quite lonely and I certainly missed my friends from high school. I almost died walking around campus, and life only consisted of school, home, homework, and work. There were no friends that showed me around - no one to guide me. I knew how to solve this problem though. I knew I had to get involved somehow. So, I did just that. I didn't want to join a sport, even though I was on a tennis team once. I wanted something different. I wanted to join a sorority and I PRAYED that it wouldn't be like the ones people saw on TV. So I went through the rush and found my "home". And that's when my life changed. They were so welcoming and so friendly and so down to earth. They showered us with gifts because at my school, hazing is not allowed, so they did the opposite of that. I just wanted to give a shout out to my sisters cuz without them, I'd probably go crazy by now. Love'em to death!

Good for you! College is a big adjustment and it's important to reach out and get involved. I'm sure you have now met the friends that you will have for the rest of your life.
