Martina McBride

I love country music and Martina, most of all. Her songs have been at different times fun, comforting, inspiring and empowering. Her music has helped me through many difficult days. I had the pleasure (joy!!) of meeting Martina a few times now and I have never been disappointed! At her fan club parties and out on the road Martina and everyone who works for her have been wonderful to the fans. I admire her ability to balance her work and parenting and especially her commitment to stand up and speak out against teen and domestic violence. I am a survivor and volunteer time speaking out and telling my story to help others recover. It's so important to keep speaking the truth so others will know they are not alone and that help is available. Martina has been an outstanding advocate, through her music, in interviews and at her annual YWCA Auction. All this and, wow, that woman can sing!! She just keeps getting better!

In addition to being a Martina fan- I'm a mother of two sons who are now in college. While I sometimes miss them, I love the freedom I am gaining to focus on my own interests once again- including getting to more concerts! I am a woman with a broken wing, but these days, "Man you oughta see her fly!"
