About
I've always considered myself a rock and roll girl.
I had heard "My daughter's eyes" on Oprah and loved it.
It was not until hearing "Anyway" just after my son's death that I held her in the esteem that she truly deserves.
With the love of music that both my son and I shared I knew that I must come up with a playlist for his service. The grief of his loss (he was only 33) made this task overwhelming.
My red, puffy eyes and broken heart had to make it to the store to purchase a dress for the service. I could barely drive. I had the radio on and changed stations frequently to stay alert. I heard "Anyway" and words fail to describe the comfort that I experienced.
I knew that the Lord had sent that song to me to be heard in my time of need. Her voice and message pierced my soul. I thanked the Lord for sending me this message and giving Martina the gifts that she has.
It was the last song played at my son's service. Everyone, including the Priest commented on the beauty of the song and how inspiritional and comforting it was. We were all so "goose bumpy" while it was being played!
Thank you again, Lord and thank you to Martina for providing unexpected and immeasurable comfort to many.

Such sadness again on TV news again. Thankfully, God and his on call 24/7 status remains the valuable resource it always been for me. I'm feeling the need (or perhaps the calling) to remind/request to others that we should not need a repeat of the events of 9/11 to love and embrace our loved ones, reevaluate that which is truly important in in life and be kinder person to others and...

GOOD GOLLY GOSH! What a compliment indeed! Hmmm...more about myself? Uh...i'm Aleigha (but you knew that) I just graduated from an arts high school in NY State with a major in dance (concert dance that is- not the crazy stuff I did in the video). But for college I will be majoring in Musical Theatre! I've heard that I'm animated, I guess its just my natural personality... I REALLY wanted to enter in the health contest because health is EXTREMELY important to me, but the fact that you have to be 35 in order to talk about yourself and your health BLEW MY MIND! So, I decided to take matters into my own hands anyway and talk about what keeps me healthy :) Besides, it was a fun project to work on! Hahahaha
Thanks again,
Aleigha

Carolyn, I'm sorry I have not been able to reply to you but the message feature no longer works for me! They added a new feature and I cannot send or reply to a message. This feature even makes it nearly impossible to post since it takes me 3 or 4 tries to make a post now.
I' tried replying to you 10 or 12 times the last few days and every time it would not let me do it. It always said "invalid".
Anyways, I'll try again in a few days and I apologize for not being able to get back to you.
