Nashville, TN – To honor Loretta Lynn’s 50th career anniversary, a diverse group of artists has contributed tracks for the November 9 album release of Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn. The artists personally chosen by Lynn include (in alphabetical order) Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Allison Moorer, Paramore, Reba, Carrie Underwood, The White Stripes, Lucinda Williams, Gretchen Wilson, and Lee Ann Womack. “I am so happy that these singers wanted to do this record,” says Loretta. “I love ‘em all, and it was so great to hear all the different ways they did my hits,” she said, referring to how each artist recorded with their own choice of producer and musicians. “I hope people like it as much as I do and we sell a bunch of records!!”

Congratulations Brittany!
Hi, my name is Brittany, and I am from Derry, New Hampshire. I am currently a sophomore at Rivier College (here in NH), where I am majoring in English Education. I wish to teach middle or high school, and want to be a positive role model for kids and young teenagers. In my free time, I love to read a great book, dance (I took lessons for 13 years), visit with my family, and of course listen to Martina's amazing music! I also spend a lot of my time volunteering with various charities, and enjoy this very much. Of course picking just one favorite Martina song is no easy task! My favorite Martina song is definitely "Anyway." This song is so powerful and has such an inspiring message. Martina sings it perfectly on stage! I saw Martina for the first time in March on her "Shine All Night Tour." We braved flooded roads from a week of pouring rain to see Martina, and I am glad we did! She was absolutely incredible--belting out high note after high note! I also had the honor of meeting Martina at her Fan Club Party in June. I drove 17 hours to meet her, but it was totally worth it! Martina was so sweet to everyone, along with her wonderful team! It was a dream come true to meet Martina, but I also met some amazing friends. Thank you, Martina, for being so wonderful to your fans, and I hope to see you at another concert real soon!
