Five star idea! Funny that you should bring this up, I recently changed my avatar after becoming involved in the effort to assist a person with a disability that became the victim of a troll via a gaming site, that has escalated to bullying and harassment via the internet. The issue has a frustrating amount of complexities when the internet is involved.

Regardless of the method, the act of bullying, etc. is wrong to the point of evil with me. I know that many of us can relate to witnessing the acts of a few bullies while growing up. I agree that it has changed in intensity since I was young. I think that the matter needs to be address seriously and treated like a crime, if warnings by authorities to the offender and parents are ignored.

Thank you so much for suggesting Martina do a song about this. I pray that she will read this and heed the call. Mmmm, sounds a few tweets and/or FB messages to her wouldn't hurt either.

I see a lot of it on Twitter and Facebook among "adults." No excuses, the following is bullying:
    1. Bullying is aggressive behavior that involves unwanted, negative actions.
    2. Bullying involves a pattern of behavior repeated over time.
    3. Bullying involves an imbalance of power or strength.

A dear friend of mine's nephew committed suicide last year from the effects of bullying. Since then, his little sister went to school and her secret high school crush walked up to her and said "Well, you have one brother in prison and the other killed himself because he was a loser so maybe you should go home and kill yourself too?" She promptly withdrew from that school with her parents help. Why do kids have to be so cruel?
Everytime I read the news, I see another child do this and it breaks my heart! Have you seen the recent episode of "Harry's Law?" Its titled Queen of Snark. Look it up and watch it in its entirety. I cried like a baby because I think about the fact that it easily could be me burying one of my kids and no parent should have have to suffer that tragedy. It makes us love and appreciate and protect our children so much more!
Not enough is being done in schools to diminish this "emotional terrorism."
I could write forever about this topic because it aggravates me so much that the bullying has become more and more aggressive.
I hope Martina sees this because it is a very powerful message that she help get across.
The weird thing is the lyrics came to me the night before I watched Harrys Law and I titled the song "Love Is Louder." Following the episode was a message by Brittany Snow (Jenna, Harry's law) about her new campaign. The title? "Love is Louder"(to help combat bullycide). Its like I was meant to do this and I never wrote a song in my life!
Sometimes God leads us into a certain path for a reason and I wont fight it!
Perhaps if Martina is willing to consider, it could be tied into Brittany's campaign and really get the message out. If we can save one child, it would be worth it!
"With a broken wing, she carries her dreams,... you oughta see her fly!"""

This is wonderful you wrote this.........I only pray that it wakes up and alerts alot of parents to this very real situation out there in our schools ~ In our children's schools! I believe parents should talk to their children and have a very open relationship with their little ones. They need to feel safe and that they can talk to their parents or grandparents when they have any issues and are scared. Thank you for such a great article!!!
