RE: ACM Nominations!
I am sad and shocked that Martina wasn't on the list. I thought last year was just a fluke (Heidi Newfield, really???). I am glad to see Miranda getting recognition because I think she release an amazing album this year and it's great to see Reba nominated again. Since most of us seem to agree that Taylor and Carrie are a done deal (whether they deserve it or not) that leaves Lee Ann taking Martina's spot, so to speak. While I agree she is very talented, Martina has had a great album and fantastic tour. Wake up people (whoever you are!!) I'm sure she will handle this with her usual grace and class, but it still stings for me. She should have a category all for herself!

RE: ACM Nominations!
God blessed Martina to sing for us- We all know she is the best there ever was- One day she will get her recognition!! Martina we love you in Baltimore!!!

RE: ACM Nominations!
I support Martina 110% - she is always and forever my FVOT and EOTY, awards shows be damned, and I will continue to purchase her cd's, request her songs on the radio, and attend her shows because it makes me happy, and because it's obvious how hard she works and how much she enjoys what she does, both for country music and her fans. And as I think about country music radio, I can't tell you the last time I heard a LW song, not to mention the fact that I didn't know she had any new music out there. And btw, also can't believe they left Jason Aldean off the lists, as well! What's up with that?! Wow, did the ACM folks ever get it wrong!

RE: ACM Nominations!
Many of you know how I feel about Carrie and Taylor by now so I won't bore you by repeating myself but Martina not even nominated, really? I honestly don't know what that poor women has to do these days to get the recognition she deserves, but enough already! and please all you Carrie and Taylor fans out there, if I read one more article about how it's all about youth, supply and demand and they are the ones selling and making the dough I will vomit! These ladies will vanish one day, Taylor quickly we hope, and artists like Reba and Martina will be back on top where they belong! Speaking of Reba, congratulations girl, I hope you kick some Taylor and Carrie ass!

RE: ACM Nominations!
I can't believe Martina is not anywhere on this list. WTH???? I really don't have a problem with LAW, she is pretty awesome as well. My biggest problem is Taylor. I like her okay, she's young and learning, but does not have the vocals to even be put in these categories. Not happy about this, but that is nothing new, the awards show do not give our great artists the credit they deserve.
And I have to add that WBW is played on my station on a regular basis. Love them for that..

RE: ACM Nominations!
Lee Ann Womack? Seriously? What has she done in the past year? I really disagree with that nomination. I like Lee Ann I just don't think she has done anything in the past year worth receiving a nomination. I think everyone else deserves to be on that list except her...Martina should have absolutely been on that list.
That's exactly what I was going to say. She has had one single, and it's a good song but it's not that popular. I'm really mad. My mom told me the nominees yesterday and I was mad then too. My best friend is a BIG Miranda Lambert fan so I'll give her the vote.

That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way
Dream it anyway!

RE: ACM Nominations!
Now, as much as this pains me, i gotta agree with heidi morose - go buy a CD of Martina's and giv it to somebody who doesn't know her....request WBWBWBWBW on the radio and plan on celebrating next year when the Academy realizes the error of their ways and nominates M for ETOY!!!!

I'm at a disadvantage because I don't know your last name, Amy. So maybe I'll have to go with Amy Lamey--no just Lame Amy. Yes, we're both right. Martina's fans can sit around and pout...or they can get off their duffs and show her the love by supporting her.

RE: ACM Nominations!
Ok, I LOVE Martina! No doubt she has THE most AMAZING voice of ANYONE out there!!!! However, when it comes to the past year, she didn't have a great one when it comes to commercial success. I wish she did!!
With that being said, neither did LeeAnn Womack. Honestly, (pains me to say) if you are going off of radio play, the 5th nomination should have went to Kellie Pickler!
She had a huge hit with Best Days of Your Life, and she has another hit now with Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You. Just my thoughts.
where've you been? I've looked for you forever and a day. where've you been? i'm just not myself when you're away. -
RE: ACM Nominations!

good point about Pickler -
She's certainly done more then Heidi Newfield, who grabbed the 5th spot last year -
RE: ACM Nominations!
I for one am not going to throw up or protest by not watching the award show and not start taking anti-depressant medication over this. I like many artist nominated and enjoy the performances on the ACM award show. Would Martina want her fans to boycott the show because other artist had a successful year and she didn't get nominated as result of statistics? - I don't think so ! Obviously Martina is my favorite artist and I wish her best luck next year and it is not the end of the world.
I hope to see her in the audience cheering on her fellow artist or as a presenter. - just my 2 cents.
