The fan club tried the 10 M&G's per concert thing, but eventually stopped giving them out altogether after 2003. Those that were around in 2003 will also remember Liz going off on members who complained that they weren't being picked. I still blame those complaints for the end of the old fashion M&G program. Prior to 1999, we could get unlimited M&G's per year with Martina... I joined just after Christmas 1998 or right after the limited M&G policy first tool effect.

I'm just happy we can still enter for the front row/meet and greet contests, its really generous of Martina and her crew to offer this through the fan club. :) Good luck to everyone who enters for their shows!!

The meet and greet concept has a few problems. The first is there will always be more people requesting meet and greets for Martina than she has time to do now. For a while there, her meet and greet sessions were longer than her show! It got to the point to where they had to be cut down and that started the complaints from folks that they didn't get a meet and greet.

Martina didn't want more upset fans than happy fans (ie more people wouldn't get meet and greets than people that would get them) so the whole fan club meet and greet idea was scrapped. In it's place was the yearly (well, almost yearly) fan club party where a large amount of fans could come out and get a meet and greet. Of course, that caused problems as well because some fans wanted just a long M&G session and others preferred a intimate show for the fans.

The bottom line is Martina can't please everyone all the time. I think she has done a great job trying to make herself accessible to as many fans as possible while also giving her family the time and attention they deserve.

Martina does do an awesome job making herself availabile to her fans !! She treats her fans SO much better than anyone else I've met. Like I said before, I love the way things are now with M&Gs absolutely no complaints from me!! :D

I think Martina is an exceptionally nice person who tried her best to give back to the fans. She is also extremely popular with thousands upon thousands of fans so it's impossible to please her. I was a fan of another massive female artistsand I'll tell you the fan club nor the artist gave as much to her fans as this lady does. As being in the UK,it's awesome that there is mention of returning to do a few gigs ..anything else is icing on the cake....

Darren and Tracy, thanks very much for the detailed explanation and history. I wasn't trying to complain on my post but just trying to increase my odds by requesting more meet and greets and comparing what other artist do. I guess I should count my blessings that all of us fans have some chance for a great experience.

I'm okay with the one winner ofr 2 tix and m&G.. i know with miranda lambert they have only like 10-15 a show and you sign up for one.. and its those who do it first get htem and you can get up to 3 a year.. however i realize martina is way more popular than Ran.. or at least more known.. but thats how she does it.

I have a hobby. I have the world's largest collection of seashells. I keep it scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen some of it.

Actually Ran does 25 F/C members per concert and you get 3 oppurtunities per F/C year.

    I dream
    I love anyway

    Martina Concerts:
    2/14/06, 3/04/07 (Plant City, Fla.), 5/31/07 (1st M&G), 10/05/08.

I wasn't complaining. I was just asking a question because I'm new to the fan club.

Martina is awesome and I think she does do a great job and I love that she loves her fans!

I think it is cool that they do it this way.
Even though I would love for more people to have the opportunity this is the only fan club that does it that way.
I think that it is a good idea and I like how they give you 2 tickets and 2 meet and greet passes so another person can come too! (:
