Caribbean Cruise?
Our local radio station is running a contest to win Martina's new CD and qualify for a chance to go on a Caribbean Cruise in November with Martina. You will go on the cruise, attend a concert, meet Martina and tape a video of how someone "Loved you through it." Very cool and great publicity for Martina and her new CD...and more radio play for her music!
Even better would be winning! BUT, does anyone know if Martina is appearing on the cruise? I'm wondering if you went on the cruise if you would at least get to see the performance?
Wouldn't it be fun if a bunch of Martina's fans were on the cruise?? Just thinking. Some artists have done smaller cruises like that. On the other hand, maybe we'd scare her away!

What is your radio station? We want to enter. I would think from what your saying if Martina is on the cruise, that is where she will perform her concert. Again what is your radio station??? LOL

The ad copy says "Win a Cruise From New Orleans And See Martina McBride Perform Live Onboard". I take that to mean that she will be performing on the ship, and not necessarily that you'll be cruising with her for seven days.

That would be so much fun. I go to the Balloon Fest here and would love to go for a ride. Almost went this year but the weather was not cooperating.

Thanks, Dayna. Yes, it's WKLB. On air they suggested that Martina would be on the cruise. But, still can't figure out if the concert is only for the winners. I figure the meet/greet part is for the winners. That is, unless we got Amy on board...LOL. Well, I'll be listening to the radio a lot more this weekend. Only problem- the cruise is for Thanksgiving week. If I won I'd have to buy tickets for my kids!

Maybe she will perform Always Be This Way, it sounds very tropical/reggae-esque to me. I imagine her singing it on a tropical beach.

The radio station morning hosts also say that she is stuck on the ship for the 7 days! Whether it's true or not I don't know. I guess I'll just have to wait until I win to find out. Good luck Linda, but I'm trying too! If you try to stream it online, they say there's up to a minute delay from the radio play so not as likely to be 25th caller. I've never been on a cruise before so this would be especially exciting. I have gone to Martha's Vineyard though from Falmouth Harbor...about 1/2 hour ride on boat.

Well the call-in qualifications just ended so I guess I'm not going. I would think if you paid to go on the cruise that you would have the option to buy tickets for the concert too unless it's included in the cruise price.

Here is the response I got when I emailed Royal Caribbean:
"Regrettably, we do not have any information regarding Martina McBride sailing on any of our ships. We would suggest visiting her website for any information on activities she is participating in. We apologize for any disappointment this response may cause."

Why o why are we the last to find out some of this stuff? Not that I could afford a cruise, seeing how I am trying to afford a Train Trip to NYC in the ball park of $125.00 RT. I will eat PB&J all the way if I have to, very nutritious food, along with some fruit, the kind you eat. A few dozen bottles of water will top off my food list. Unless of course I stroll by a pizza joint, and the aroma calls my name....
But thank for giving me a laugh before I get off the air or cyberspace or whatever the heck the latest term for it is..
