12 weeks from tomorrow is the release date of the album. That is fair amount of time for the song to reach the Top 20 or 10 by release date.

I noticed this, too, Heidi. I was hopeful when I looked today, but didn't see it yet. HOWEVER, there were plenty of stations that added the song to their playlists, and that number will only grow by leaps and bounds in the coming weeks!

I heard it on a little indy station this early am. I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be like I Just Call You Mine. Hope to hear it on the major market stations soon.

Will send another email to my radio station as well. They are pretty big around here, always getting a nod for best personalities. Even took home the trophy for it before. Getting off track there, but bottom line is we want is
IGLYTI to go to #1... It's well over time that Martina gets a # 1 out there.

Will also try to get it to the Carol Baldwin Foundation, the may help it a great deal if they like it, which I don't see why they wouldn't.

Let's get to work on this, can never start too soon.

I'm a little surprised...in its second week on the chart, it dropped one spot to #51. However, it finally appeared on the AllAccess Mediabase chart today at #48 (and it's #38 on this week's Indicator) so it still looks healthy. I'd love to see it leap frog up the chart like Teenage Daughters did at first, but I also don't want to see it fizzle out. I'd rather let it do the slow and steady thing if that's what it's going to do. :)

Yes, I'm a little surprised myself. It would seem it didn't get the early hard push like "Teenage Daughters."

Don't worry, though, I just saw the callout scores (i.e. the research that shows who is liking the song, how it's researching, etc.) and they are VERY good. This song is going to be just fine. Right now, the chart is just very competitive with a lot of bulleted songs on it, so that's why it's not leap frogging.

I don't fully understand how the charts work, but here's what I've seen....there's a chart in the Billboard update known as the Bullseye chart that reflects how a single is testing with listeners. While the song is still too new to debut on the chart just yet (and it's not an official chart for tracking single position), here is how this single is testing currently:

    #1 Overall

#1 in the follow major overall age demographics: 18-34, 25-44, 25-54

    #1 in the following female demographics: 18-34, 25-44, 25-54, 35-54

In other words, listeners are REALLY enjoying this song. While radio programmers could always refuse to play it in heavy rotation (or at all), there's no question that people who hear it are loving it. I think these types of numbers bode very well for this single's future, but there are a lot of people who could explain this better than I can. :)

I don't look at Billboard anymore since they cut back a lot of info. unless you're a subscriber. I always follow--and very much encourage people to participate in Rate the Music. However, we shouldn't see the song on that survey until it reaches the Top 30. I do know "Teenage Daughters" never made it into the Top 15 rated songs.

The Nashville Country Club site doesn't have as much clout as some call-outs, but the song has been Number One on there for a few weeks. Which is very nice to see. For those who would like to rate the song in that survey, here's the link: http://nashvillecountryclub.com/MusicPolls.php?t=nm

It's under the New Music Poll and not the Radio Poll.

I'm always online, but I'm still lazy and rarely vote on stuff. Haven't done much voting of any kind since getting internet in 1999. Things I do online haven't changed much since 1999. Facebook is still considered a new form of internet communication to me since e-mail is still my #1 favorite way of communication online.

I also don't understand the call out or other charts that are based on opinions. The charts based on sales and spins are a form of religion to me.

Well, the number of spins a song gets is partially based on the call-out charts and surveys. It's a quick easy way for stations to see which songs people like, which songs people are tired of hearing, etc.

Looking at the Top Ten songs in the Rate the Music Survey you have: the current #1, two former #1s, two or three songs that will likely reach the top spot, and the rest are currently in the Top 10 except for one.

So I think it's pretty safe to say this call-out survey is an accurate reflection of chart success.

Just my opinion, but I think anyone who wants to hear their favorite artist played more or is generally unhappy with what they're hearing might consider taking a minute or two to fill out these surveys.

Looking pretty good on Mediabase. Waiting until Tuesday to see how many stations add the song.

While I really haven't had the radio on, I did check my radios song list for one day at the end of last week and didn't even see this song on it. Just "old" Martina songs.
Kind of irritating as I emailed the boss and one of the dj's, with no response and usually I get one either way.
I also sent it to the Carol Baldwin Foundation. Have not heard anything back from there but wasn't sure I would, just hoping the song would be good for their organization.

#45 this week with 5 adds and 38 total stations playing. Already 70+ plus stations playing Miranda's new single which had Top 40 debut.

I saw eight adds, but I always look at both monitored and unmonitored stations. Was hoping for more.

Don't worry, guys...Miranda is the hot new thing right now and it's only natural that her new single would get added rapidly. We know that country radio doesn't exactly thrive on what's quality but rather what's currently the big thing. Plus, it's only natural for stations to add a new single a little bit more slowly when the single preceding it didn't make the top ten.

I think this will definitely prove to be a "slow and steady wins the race" thing...but that's actually better, in my opinion. It will pick up steam as it goes rather than be really hot at the beginning and then fizzle out after a few weeks. Eventually, though, this will be near the top of the charts...the fan reaction and the research is just too strong. There was another full page ad in Country Aircheck today showing how the song is #1 in all the callout research yet again this week.
