Pittsburgh Tickets
Anyone know what is going on with the tickets for the canceled show? My card was charged on 9 June (including a shipping charge), but like most everyone else, the tickets never did show up. Now that the show has been canceled, are they still supposed to send them? How will the tickets transfer to the make-up show, whether they are actually printed & sent or not?
As it turned out, their pitiful turnaround time didn't really matter, but they had over 5 weeks to send the tickets, and never got around to it. Someone in management should look into this lapse of service!

Ed, I totally agree. The venue said that our "tickets will be honored at the re-scheduled show", but we don't even have those tickets.
I think I'll be making a couple of phone calls tomorrow to get some answers.

I had Heidi ask this question a ways back, but the response didn't address the fact we never received the tickets.

I doubt that GC has the physical tickets and that's why we didn't receive them. The promoter most likely never sent them on to GC--and I suspect they won't be sent until 2-3 weeks before the concert.

I understand that may be the norm but here in Pgh we never know from summer to summer if this venue will be open for the upcoming summer concert season and who will operate it.

The tentative date that I've heard is May. It would depend on if you got your tickets through Ticket Master or the fan club pre-sale. If you got them through the FC, I would call this number: 1-877-GND-CTRL
If you got them through Ticket Master , I'm sure they have support info. available.

Ticketmaster has been very good on this one for me, Heidi...they contacted me proactively by both email and phone last Thursday and offered refund or keep tickets for the rescheduled date. -

I got ahold of a nice guy at Ground Control today and here is how he explained it to me. IF you ordered your tickets through the fan club presale, Ground Control has your order on file and, when it gets closer to the time of the rescheduled show, the tickets will be automatically shipped to us at that time. Just to cover yourself, I would print off the copy of your order confirmation number (or at least mark that number down somewhere) and put it away for safe keeping...just in case.
But, if you have any concerns or questions, you can call Ground Control at 1-877-GND-CTRL. Hope this helps. -

I listen to both local Pittsburgh and Ohio radio stations and did not hear it advertised. If it wasn't for the fan club, I would not have known about it. My concern is that the new management team needs to be aware of lack of advertising. I so needed a Martina fix. Have to wait until rescheduled or find somewhere close.

It was hard to lose Pittsburgh so close to the show with no explanation, but I'm glad I'd also gotten tickets to the Seneca Niagra show in August..so my waits not too long and it looks like most of the seats are sold there already. -

Funny this thread is starting back up again. I just posted a comment/question related to this in the "Pittsburgh Show Postponed" thread.
I personally heard Martina's concert advertised several times on Y108, but I listen to it throughout the day, everyday. However, it's my understanding that the promoter is responsible for getting awareness ads out to the media / public. Not that I'm pointing fingers at all, because I have no idea, but perhaps this was part of the problem.
I, too, am extremely hopeful for another show in this area...maybe one in Cleveland, Erie, or even Wheeling this fall. Fingers crossed!!!
