    YUP! I will record it!! Heres my backstory on Martina & Aretha... Its just that i have been begging M to sing Aretha ( RESPECT)for bout 3 years now- to the point that I am annoying her..(difficult to grasp, huh? Me being annoying..) I even tried to bribe her !! I ALMOST had her in Jacksonville, for the show the next night in Birmingham AL back in 08 ....but No, i was politely declined after the show........... I always said i would fly anywhere to see her sing Aretha....But, it looks like ima just gonna have to settle for the TV....Its jus one of those rare moments that i would like to experience LIVE..

    It's pretty cool she's part of the Aretha Franklin tribute but it would have been even better if they had let Martina sing one of her own songs.

    I had planned to watch anyway, but this is excellent news! It's great exposure for her as well. I do hope her vocals shine. It seems to me that her last few TV performances weren't up to her vocal level for the most part. It's like she was bored or 'just getting through it." She needs to go back to wow'ing the audience. :) When you have one of the best voices in any genre, you gotta use it! Vocally, she blew everyone else off the stage on that "Divas" show. I hope she does here as well.

    Personally, I'm just thrilled that Christina Aguilera is not singing the national anthem.. again... wooo ;)
