New CMT Crossroads

Martina and rock band Train will partner for a CMT Crossroads episode scheduled to air on Nov. 20. The one-hour show will be taped in Nashville for a private audience. "Performing on CMT Crossroads with Martina McBride is an exciting honor for Train. Martina is an icon in the country music world because her voice is amazing and her songs are timeless. We can't wait to share the Crossroads stage with her and her band," said Train's lead singer, Pat Monahan. Train's pop hits include "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)," "Meet Virginia," "Calling All Angels" and "Hey Soul Sister." McBride formerly appeared on CMT Crossroads with one of her idols, Pat Benatar, in 2003.

Congrats to the winners! I can't wait to watch this on TV! I've been trying to think which of Martina's songs will be chosen. Assuming they don't repeat songs from the first Crossroads, how about:
"Wrong Baby Wrong"
"Wild Angels"
I think "She's A Butterfly" would be an awesome choice.
"Love's the Only House"
Anybody else have ideas on good song choices?

I found out that I've actually been hearing some of Trains music on the radio since 1994 last night while checking out some of their videos on YouTube.

I'd love to know which songs were performed unless it's top secret. If that's the case, we'll just have to wait patiently until the 20th.

The show was AWESOME! I'm so sorry you all could not have been there. I didn't know I liked Train so much until tonight - Pat, the lead singer is a trip - and so danged talented! And, we know Martina can sing the phone book, so she did her thing as always and impressed! They sang Martina's "Wrong, Baby Wrong"; "For These Times"; & "Broken Wing". Then did Train's "Drops of Jupiter"; "Soul Sister"; "Marry Me"; "Calling All Angels"; then ended with Rod Stewart's "Stay With Me". So freakin' great...you have to watch.

i must say what an awesome show with martina and train.the interaction between martina and pat was funny and i loved the audience participation before the show.i dont want to give away any stuff just want to tell everyone to watch because you will not be disappointed and may i say this broken wing was amazing as always

I was surprised about Train, but I think that is part of the joy of the Crossroads mix- the surprise kind of "Wow, I never thought of that" factor. Thanks, Tracy, for giving us some advance on what we can look forward to. Congrats to the lucky people who got to go and I'll have fun spotting Martina fans in the audience. I love it when I see one of you that I know or have met!

Also.....Whatever You Say.......Martina looked beautiful, sang beautiful....really did a good job on the Train songs. Pat Monahan is one captivating entertainer......a must see. Great show!! You will enjoy watching this on the 20th...don't miss it.
We all know how good a singer Martina is...these are the events that let others know.
An interesting story...one of the producers said they had been trying to get Train to do CrossRoads for quite a while. They offered different pairings with a few artists, all of which they turned down..finally saying they would do it if Martina did.
Another story.......They did Wrong, Baby Wrong, Drops of Jupiter and it seems one other song twice because of technical issues (?), band mistakes, etc.....lucky us :)
