New CMT Crossroads
From CMT:
Martina and rock band Train will partner for a CMT Crossroads episode scheduled to air on Nov. 20. The one-hour show will be taped in Nashville for a private audience. "Performing on CMT Crossroads with Martina McBride is an exciting honor for Train. Martina is an icon in the country music world because her voice is amazing and her songs are timeless. We can't wait to share the Crossroads stage with her and her band," said Train's lead singer, Pat Monahan. Train's pop hits include "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)," "Meet Virginia," "Calling All Angels" and "Hey Soul Sister." McBride formerly appeared on CMT Crossroads with one of her idols, Pat Benatar, in 2003.

I love the song "Calling All Angels," so it will sound good with Martina's voice! :)

Re: New CMT Crossroads
I just got a tweet about this! Exciting!! Since M already did one with Pat I wasn't holding my breath for another one, but so glad I was wrong!!!

I've never heard any of Train's music before so this should be interesting. M never disappoints! -
Re: New CMT Crossroads
Having never heard of Train, I asked a friend of mine who is a more astute observer of the pop scene.
He says, "I am not a fan. If you like songs about soymilk latte, you will like them."
Now sure what that means, but I'll watch anyway, because Martina is on, of course.

I'm not sure what that means either but it made me laugh!
I can't say I'm a big fan of Train but I do like some of their songs.

Re: New CMT Crossroads
I'm not very familiar with Train, but I absolutely love the songs Drops of Jupiter and Calling All Angels. I'm very excited that Martina is shooting another episode of Crossroads, even with a band that I don't know very well :D

Re: New CMT Crossroads
This is EXCITING news! However, I'm a little surprised that out of all the rock bands/artists out there they thought, and ultimately chose, to pair Martina with Train...Pat Benatar was a no-brainer, of course...Train tho?!
I have nothing against them (I saw them on tour with Sheryl Crow in 2002.), but it just seems like an odd pairing to me (I would've loved to have seen her with HEART or Sheryl Crow!). All of the members of Train are male, and while I can most certainly picture Martina singing some of their hit songs (Being her AMAZING self!), I can't quite picture them singing any of hers. Maybe that's what will make it interesting tho!

Not at all Heidi. I like Train and am excited to hear them with Martina. I thought Crossroads brings 2 artists with different music styles together. So to me there shouldn`t be alot of simliarities. I had no idea what to expect from Taylor Swift and Def Leppard combo, that turned out good. I cant wait. -
Re: New CMT Crossroads
I agree with poogle 4 ...this will be exciting!!! I love train and obviously I love Martina! This pairing will be unlike anything! Both voices are smooth and flow so well.

Re: New CMT Crossroads
I'm really excited for this! I know a couple Train songs, and I really liked their most recent hit "Hey Soul Sister." This will be intersting to see.
