11th Annual Martinafest
Ok here are the plans but they can change the last minute, if you have ever been to Martinafest you know what i mean!!
Were going to meet at the Fonner Keno Casino and Sports Lounge at 2:00pm, it's right next to the venue at the race track. They have table seating for 300 but they wouldn't let me reserve any tables but we should find enough room. You will able to play Keno, bet the horses(no live racing) eat, drink and mingle. Then sometime later on were going over to soundcheck, now I don't know what time and again it might not happen but those are the plans. Then after soundcheck we are going throw a little party for Martina, band and crew. It's like a reverse Fan Club party, instead of M thanking us for our support, we are thanking all of them for all the great shows this year and everything they do for us.
More details to come and remember these plans can change, so keep watching this thread.

Well it doesn't look like I can make it, sucks being broke!! Don't worry Martinafest will still go on, everything is set up and ready to go. It looks like it will be $5 each for the cake, presents and flowers for everyone. I'll have someone at the racetrack collect the money when you sign in and get your name tag. Hope everyone has a good time!!

That is a bummer Keith....it takes away some of the fun from the event I think. I'm holding out hope that something will change and you can still make it. Take care, Rabbit
Maybe a bus ticket...or a train ride. Hitch a ride with someone else maybe....isn't there a couple big buses leaving Nashville that week for South Dakota and Nebraska :)

well I thought there was some hope but just found out today my unemployment will only last 1 more week, it was suppose to last like another 2 months. So I need to find a job this week or I can't pay rent and will be living on the streets.

I put Sue, Jerry, Nonie and Dayna in charge, I have everything planned out so there should be no problems. I can't believe I'm missing Martinafest, I've been to the first 10 and never missed one.

It's a HUGE bummer that you have to miss the 11th Annual MartinaFest. It won't be the same without you. Thanks for all you do!

Ok we need to take a vote here on how much we want to spend on M, John, the girls, band and crew.
Right now I think I have around 32 folks attending and I posted it will be $5 each which is around $160
Here is the cost
$60 cake
$40 flowers
$10 card
$20 plates, forks, napkins and name tags
$50-60 gifts
so thats $180-190 so now the price went up to $6
I plan on getting everyone $1 Nebraska scratch off tickets, so thats 2 tickets each but if you want to give more to them it's going to cost more. So thats what I need to take a vote on, leaving it at $6 or making it $10 each, then we could give everyone like 5 tickets each.

Sounds like fun!!! I've never been to a Martinafest. I was in Red Wing but didn't know there was a Martinafest until another fan told me about it. Thanks Becky!!! :-) Now I'm going to NE just to go to a Martinafest! :-) I'm sure it'll be well worth it besides I get to see Martina twice in one Weekend!!! See ya'll there!!!

I CAN also give $10! I cant wait to see everyone again!! I am sorry you cant make it Keith that sucks but thanks for doing everything you do to make this happen every year!

OK the price now is $10 each, this way we can buy better flowers and chocolates for Martina and get the girls something

DO YOU WANT ANYTHING special from Canada like kethcup chips for the girls or Tim Horton's coffee for THE CREW and John and Martina?

Martinafest sounds like fun...Good opportunity to meet more fans, too...Wish I could come out...It looks like it's about a 17 hour drive from the Pittsburgh area...So if anyone from the East Coast is up for a road trip, let me know

I'm in for 10 Keith and sorry u cant make it, sure wont be the same since u have been the one getting this all lined up for us and all. Thanks for all u do for us
