2010 Annual Martinafest
What to do what to do, heres what going on, I'm running out of dates and not sure where to hold it this year. Here is my situation, I'm living in Nashville and again unemployed, been laid off 3 times in the last 2-1/2 years. So I have plenty of time on my hands but not alot of money.
I was thinking of the WV show because it looks like alot of folks are attending but it's general addmission so everyone will have to line up early so no time for the party.
I was thinking of the Cali winery date on M's b-day but I really can't make it out west this year unless M wants to give me a ride!!
I could wait to see if the JOC will happen this winter but if it doesn't, no martinfest!!
so any suggestions and before everyone comes on here saying they want it at the show there attending, I can't have it everywhere, so I know I'm not going to make some folks happy but I do need help to decide. Also if John or M read this I'll take your suggestions too

And luckily they have a brand new Harley store right up the road! If you take the S. Locust exit into Grand Island you will pass right by it! :)

Brad and Patty will come if we get to see Dayna go on a "spinny" ride first thing when she gets there ...since she's 99% sure she'll be hung over :-)
We just got a new Harley and what better reason for a road trip!

Wow I go away for a few days and my list just doubled, maybe I should ask anybody here that is Not coming, might need a bigger place!!LOL

We thought about it, but Martinafest has become so commercialised these days 
Looks like you'll have even more attending than at Red Wing
I think we'll form a splinter group and - as we're going to the southern Texas shows - have our own Martinafiesta

OK first thing we need to do and the folks that can't make it can join in on some ideas. I'm thinking we can do what we did a couple of years ago, since this show will be one of the last of the year we can give some gifts to M, John, the band and crew to tell them how much we appreciate the great job they have done all year, just more or less a Big Thank You from us, last time we gave all of the bags of candy plus we gave M, some flowers and a big card. So what are some ideas and remember your looking atleast 20 gifts to cover everyone, so they need to be just a few dollars each.

I don't recall anyplace being in GI that does cakes of that caliber Peggy. I'll check with my sister to see if there are any new places that might do that. -

I HAVE ONE jOHN MIGHT LIKE, it is BBQ sauce made with Dr. pepper it has the logo on it, dont know if u have that in the U.S. or not

Woah, I've been so busy I've missed that Martinafest will be in my home state this year! You can add me to the list. I was curious about the attendance policy as far as fan club membership goes. I am going with 4 other people (mom, sister, friend and boyfriend) none of them have a membership. Is there anyway one (or all) of them could attend with me or do I need to try to talk someone into buying a membership?

We went to Red Wing with no expectations other than meeting other Martina fans. Glad we did cause now we have some new friends that we see at different times and places around the country (all at Martina concerts of course) which is kinda cool I think...so even though Martina showed that day and we got to attend the soundcheck, have our pictures taken with M and get an autograph...it still would have been a good day if she hadn't. And no matter what; you get to see Martina that night for the concert....it's a no lose situation.

I've met a few people through the 16 or 17 concerts I've attended.....Pearl and Dayna a few times, Tom from Virginia and many others who went out in Moline after the concert. That fan club get together was one of my favorite memories from a Martina concert. I'm excited to see/meet people this year as well!

Well I've never been lucky enough to attend a Martinafest, but I've attended many less official fan gatherings before and after concerts (some of them pretty decent in numbers of attendees) and it has always been a blast!!! I've met a bunch of Martinavillers over the years :)
