RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
She'll tweet the clues obviously, so if you have twitter and a cell phone, set it up to have her tweets sent to your phone... But, when the clues start usually depends on her schedule that day... For example on Friday the clues started coming at about 4pm and doors opened at 6:30... but other times i've seen em start around noon or so....

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
Sadly, I do not have a cell phone, and my sister's phone (who is going to the concert with me) does not have twitter set up. I would love to get the chance to find the tickets, even though I will have 3rd row and two extra sets of tickets when I meet Martina earlier that morning. She is giving us tickets at the radio station. I asked where the tickets were and they are towards the back on the floor. Maybe before the show, I can pay it forward to someone in the nosebleed section with those!:)

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
I missed the tickets in Roanoke by 2 minutes today. I got to the Wendy's where they were hidden and there were 2 guys eating in there and I ran in and they said, "Somebody already got it... like 2 minutes ago.... WHAT IS IT?" It was amusing .So I had to explain. I'm getting better each city though. That's the closest I've eveer gotten...
I have been blessed with so much more than I deserve. To be here with the ones who love me; to love them so much it hurts. -
RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
I hope she hides them AFTER I see her at the radio station. We're supposed to be there around 11:30.

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
If your meeting her and seeing her up close at the radio station AND you have 3rd row why not let someone else go for it? By the way I think the idea of paying it forward with the tix you won are great, I have done that several times.

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
I was just wondering about it because I think it would be fun to do since I live here and know where everything is. I did not say it because I wanted stuff all to myself.

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
I didnt' know I was meeting her until the last minute. My friend surprised me. I wanted the fun of finding them, not because I really needed them. And had I found them I would have given my tickets to someone with seats that were far away. It's just a lot of fun to see if you can find the place. :) And because I'm competitive. So I had to at least try! :)

I live here, and Martina has never been here. I thought it would be fun to try to find the tickets. I am going to give my extra tickets to someone in the nosebleed. I plan to do that. Since she is coming to my city, I have the right to hunt like anyone else, regardless of what I am doing beforehand.

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
OK - Is it weird that I upgraded my phone to one with internet/Twitter capabilities so that I could try for the front row/M&G tix? Yup. I did that in February. Since the concert was supposed to be in December, I've had a lot of time to think about it. Especially since I don't seem to have won the front row/M&G tix through the FC (darn it!). I figure if I find a set, then I'll give my tix to my friend and my mom. She said she would go!
It is very interesting to see where she hides them.

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
You seem to have very good values. There is way too much greed in this country. Heck I met Martina, Marty, John, and Sara in Reading and John and Jennifer in Delaware and I did not have to do anything extra or pay anything extra. You just have to be wise to know how to do it. To heck with all that scrambling around and acting hysterical like some of the younger girls-I'm only 35 I see do at concerts or any public events. heck, many of them do not even have a clue about certain songs or even the performer who is at a concert- I found that out on a smoke break outside many Martina shows. That is a waste of energy, sometimes you just gotta slow down and use your head, if you have the capability, and you will figure out a way to minimize and still reach the goal. I guess some people like to grab all they can get because they think it makes them look like they are cool or someone to be revered. Unfortunately for them, other people do not really think of them as being so wonderful for being that way, just curious of them maybe. On the other hand, it seems these radio stations are putting in good effort, but I have better things to do with my life other than hanging on a phone all day waiting to win something, much less that stupid Twitter. People miss out on so many true experiences by being glued to the phone or computer- or at least having those two things prominently on their mind at most times. Anyways, vegaschick I agree with you, keep those values and you will have a more fulfilling life, instead of 'attempting' to keep up with the Jones'.

These promoters and marketers of concerts really know what they are doing, don't they. Don't get me wrong, I admire your motivation to want to meet Martina but the phone companies and twitter are making too many people such easy prey. Just imagine all the money they snatch from people by providing them such slim chances in comparison to the amount of people who pay into it. People really do not need to go to those lengths, but oh well, I guess to each their own, they gotta follow those trends. I know that many reading what I have to say will hate my viewpoints, but too many people make it too hard on themselves to get 1st row tickets or to meet Martina. It is not as difficult or expensive as people may think. It does take good preparation and sometimes perseverance through weather elements, long waits, and just plain being savvy many times. It does not have to take a big-time helter-skelter 'omg, omg' effort though. -

Well, we apparently have different methods of going about things. Your time, money and opportunity costs obviously are different than mine. I don’t mind that I’ve upgraded my phone so that I have internet access and the ability to Twitter in an effort to join in the fun of hide-and-seek of the tickets/M&G passes. (BTW – I do use my phone for things other than Tweeting and Martina.) I don’t think of the hunt for the tickets as a “big-time helter-skelter 'omg, omg' effort” as it seems to be more controlled than wandering around town in a hit-or-miss effort to hunt down Martina herself, hoping and praying for an autograph (which would probably be during her personal time).
I’m excited that I’ll be able to see Martina this weekend, whether or not I get the tickets/M&G passes.

RE: Twitter--hiding tickets
Tara, you have every right to take part in "the hunt" for the tickets that Martina hides just like everyone else. It's simply meant to be a fun quest for her fans, and she's well aware that people that already have tickets may, in fact, want to get BETTER seats! I don't blame you for that at all, especially if you chose to give your seats to someone else. Besides, how many people really are out there on the hunt like you are? Only true Martina fans who care enough to put themselves through it to try and CAN! And, obviously, you're one of them! I admire your tenacity. Twitter and cell phones were not designed just for Martina ticket hunts...they're other modern conveniences for us to utilize just like cable television, computers, and iPods. Those companies are making big bucks on us consumers, also.
It's a shame you're being questioned about something that Martina has developed as being FUN. Don't feel badly about doing it. Everything happens for a reason, and if you are meant to find them, you will.
Everyone has their own opinions about things on this board, but there's no need to put someone down for doing something she's absolutely entitled to do--especially if she's going to give her original seats away to someone who's sitting in the nosebleed section. -

Cool, you stay on your side as far as your interest in cell phones and such and I shall stay on mine and we will be quite alright, lol. I feel blessed to not be controlled or waste most of my time on those things. So what I am not a 'follower' of trends, I'd rather lead. I think it is a neat thing that Martina does as far as the Twittering but I would not go wild over it. Heck I can just see it now, people pushing each other down or out of the way to run after those tickets. Oh well, it feels peaceful inside to know that I do not do out of control things like that. It's ok Heather though, to each their own, have fun if that's the type of thing that 'floats your boat' I am not as mean as it appears, we just have different values I suppose. -

I do not know that you are being attacked. I guess that is your individual perception. I was just being general about things without a focus or spotlight directly upon Miss Tara. I am really not that big of an azz, it just can seem that way due to different values and interests that I have from the mainstream society.
