I don't know if this is happening for everyone but the videos on the Home page just do not work. The 'big' screen starts to play the rotation but stalls out and never does finish completely showing the preview for the upcoming tour (think it's about 30 seconds long) before it goes onto the next in the rotation. And the small video below it cannot play completely either. I pause the big one to watch the small one and it just can't play or buffer enough to play in it's entirety. Is it an issue between the two players? I don't know, but visiting the Home page stinks.

Yes. BTW, do you know how to get the sound to stop playing for the tour promo video? Another issue I've had is trying to listen to IJCYM on the homepage, but the video sound plays over it.

If you mouse over the video screen controls popup and you can pause the video.

Okay, typical dumb Heidi computer question...I moused over and a dark gray bar appeared at the top with little spheres in it. Something came up that I'd never seen before about voting for M. and then the screen went black. Are these little orbs or spheres the "controls?"

probably LOL just put your cursor over it and on the bottom left it looks like a stop button just click it and it should stop for you!
the stop thing is on the bottom left and those circles at the top take you to the next videos so move your cursor on it and the stop button is on the bottom left!

Well, the little 'spheres' cause issues for me..but they are basically 'next' buttons.
Becky is right...the pause button is the bottom left of the screen. :O)

I've heard from other members that they, too, are still having issues with all the video players on the site. Is there a chance someone (GC) might have a reason why this is happening?

Oh, I don't need GC to tell me why it's happening. ;) Personally, I hate pages with this much Flash. On my old computer, it would have crashed my computer (the old dual cores and Flash didn't play well together)
People should check to make sure that they are using the latest version of Flash, as a start. After that, it may simply be their internet connection and/or computers not being able to keep up.

I definitely have the latest Flash version installed...internet connection is good...and computer can definitely manage a video....there's gotta be something else involved. This is the only site I have issues with this.

Don't do it on my account. I'm just pointing it out because it definitely takes away from the site and it's appeal and other members have contacted me about it. I personally don't visit the home page much at all, I only have lately because I thought I'd view the video without having to go into the video section ( the navigation in there gets on my last nerve) or youtube...you know, since I'm here I might as well kill two birds with one stone sort of thing. And before you get all flustered, I never used to go to the home page on the old site either (Darren is well aware of this fact). I honestly use the site for the forum and the tour dates. Everything that hits the home or news page here makes it's way to the forum so I'm not really missing out on any information because of it. But, take me out of the factor and the home page players and the video page player not working correctly isn't helping to keep people on the site and take advantage of what is available. And if any of the content in the Video section ever goes to paid subscribers only, they're going to want to be able to watch it without any hangups since youtube won't be an option then.

Go to FRIGGIN TWITTER- You can watch it on there with ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS what-so-ever- It is located under a Martina tweet from yesterday!! I just tried the video for the first time on the homepage and it is jerky and impossible to watch..

And of course, people coming to the front page for the first time are really going to take the time to do that to watch the videos... and be impressed by Martina's site and want to enter and join the FC. /sarcasm

Eh, it's all good. If they don't REALLY want questions, ideas or feedback then they shouldn't have this room set up. I've been nice, I've been bitchy and not matter how it's presented they still find a way to skirt around the issues and make it out to be something on OUR end. If it was just myself having the issues I've brought up it might be one thing but that just isn't the case. Whatever. Subscription dates are still wrong, the 404's are still happening, the gray popups still aren't fixed...in the end everything they've 'fixed' isn't fixed...and besides being able to go to the end reply of a thread and categories added to the store...what else can WE see that isn't going on behind the scenes. As they say, it is what it is.

If you mean the tour promo at the top, I think that needs to stay as the tour is the most important thing at the moment. The point is...can the homepage be fixed so we can view the other videos?

Pearl, I am disheartened that your spirit is being crushed in this fashion...You have always been a "go-to" sort of gal for most of us here, and you still are!!! You are also a HUGE cheerleader for all things Martina - so please, we need ya!!! Thanks for all you have done in the past, but don't give up - it will make this new place "less fun" and well, a lot more intolerable if ya ain't in it with us!!!! PUH-LEEAZE, I beg of you- SNAP OUTTA IT!! I will be more than happy to take over for a week or so and fight your fights for us while you take a much-deserved vacation from our complaints!!! We are all frustrated, so I definitely sympathize with how ya feel as you git the brunt of all this....Whaddya say???
