    Hard to say...did it hurt Tracy Lawrence several years back for this very thing? I think it did, but it could have just as easily been he was on the down side of his career too. Artists have been unforgiven for less.

    I think it an interesting choice of words used: "police did not witness any assault because none occurred."
    Thats because IF it did, it would have been BEFORE she called. duh, people call after something happens.
    No one ever knows what happens behind closed doors.

    well.. ive never been a fan of his music.. I honestly don't like the nasaly tone to his voice..but id imagine this would hurt his career... but I guess we all shouldn't judge until he's proven guilty.

    Yep, I do. As Dayna wrote, we don't know the validity of the claims at this point. However, country music seems to be a lot more unforgiving than other genre's.

    Never been through one, but divorces can be nasty. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

    I am pretty sure this will mess up his music career. I honestly hope that he is innocent and that he gets the opportunity to be involved with his son's life.

    Sad to see. I really liked some of his songs especially "Watching You" great Country voice.

    I would say judging by others it will definitely hurt his career.

    As some have said Country Music is one if not THE most unforgiving industry. Good in some ways bad in others.

    He has a few good songs, but I'm not a super-fan, and I'm not sure I want to be now, there is no excuse for domestic abuse.

    Sara Evans' ex-husband is stil trying to make things very bad for her and their divorce has been final for couple years.

    Also, look at Lindsay Lohan... her issue of Playboy magazine is setting sales records for that publication. Mindy McCready could always try to pull a Lohan to salvage her life/career and most importantly her bank account!
