I can't believe anyone is surprised by this, I met her girlfriend back like 7 yrs ago at Tin Pan South, I guess it was just a Nashville thing because everyone in town knew this. and yes terri clark is also gay, so is Kenny Chesney but he will never admit it, that will be it for his career!!

I'm not sure we should be turning this into a who's gay and who's not. It doesn't matter. The topic is Chely and we need to stick to that and our support of her.

I also had heard about Chely a while ago. Its not a very well kept secret in Nashville circles. But I am happy she is now comfortable enough to come out with it. And I agree I don't think it can really hurt her career. She hasn't had success like others. I really like Chely as a person. But her music has always just been ok for me.

Yes I do remember that! But I attributed your switching sides to being under the influence of The Chronic. Now with Chely doing the same, I'm starting to wonder if it was due to something else......namely me and my charming and progressive personality! LMAO!!!

BTW, I see you could not answer the question I directly posed to you on the artist and the song that I quoted earlier in this topic. If your significant other ever finds out that you don't know the answer to this, she is gonna toss you right out of your crib on your butt and you will join heidihegnermorris and Gemma Leigh on the street corner holding a bright green sign that reads "Will sing off key for food".

LMAO!!!! You know that End Times are truely upon us when I, who is stuck in 1834, have to drop lyrics from Melissa Etheridge that Amicide does not know.

But to me Melissa Etheridge is a perfect example of where "certain types won't accept her sexuality" is utter nonsense since I am politicly to the Right (sometimes alarmingly so) with a pretty big Libertarianish streak (sometimes alarmingly big....LMAO!). Rumors were ALWAYS swirling about Melissa Etheridge being a lesbian for 4 or 5 years before she came out. And yet I bought her first 4 cds and played thee living Hell out of them. I think she is an AMAZING artist who tends to play the style of music that I like. It did not matter to me if she were gay, straight, bi, black, brown or white......that girl could flat out ROCK!

I thought her music was the "stuff" when I first heard "Bring me some water" which was heavily played on rock stations when she first hit the scene. That was just a totally bad ass song and she followed that up with countless brilliant songs after that.

The only reason I stopped buying her cds was because I mysteriously stopped listening to music so Melissa, along with Pearl Jam and Alanis Morissette, dropped off my radar, only to be rediscovered by me years later.

Maybe that is why I am still stuck in the 90s! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

But now I know that to confuse Amicide all I have to do is drop lyrics from Melissa Etheridge!!!!!! LMAO It is indeed a strange world we live in!!!!

I have been a fan of Chely Wright over the years and purchased several of her CDs. This "news" doesn't change a thing with me because I only know her as a country music artist. How she lives her personal life is none of my business.
