February Prayer Thread
This month I would like to start this months prayer thread with the following prayers and thoughts being send out :
Amy and Vicky: for the loss of Amy's mum
Carolyn and her dad : he has to go for some cancer treatment on Thursday.
All of the fellow Martina fans who are themselves or whose family members are fighting cancer. Especially our fellow Martina fan and Taira.
All of my fellow Martina fans who have to live with the loss of a beloved family member. My prayers belong especially with Heidi on this.
I am sure that there will be some that I have forgotten and that I will need to come back to so my thoughts and prayers go out to all those in need for it !

Prayers sent. So sorry to hear such sad news on here. Carolyn, I pray your dad comes thru this okay. Amy, I know it's tough no matter the situation. Taira and our own on here. Heidi, your strength and faith, like Carolyn's is humbling.

Thank you so much for starting this months prayer thread! My father called me on Tues. to say that a biopsy that was done on a small growth on his face revealed a carcinoma. He is going to the dermatologist on Thurs. for further excision of this area.
He is insistent that I continue to work on Thurs. and that I do nothing to change my plans for Orlando this weekend. Easy for him to say, I am trying to get past the guilt and concentrate on things that I need to do, but it is so hard.
About to start my day with the lighting of some candles at church. Handing this matter over to God, asking for strength and guidance in addition to healing of my father, candles to be lit for others in this thread as well.

my husband just had a double hernia operation on thursday and is home now so please pray for a speedy recovery and that his pain lessens a bit!

Becky’s husband for a speedy recovery
Strength and solace to Amy and Vicky during their time of loss.
That Carolyn’s father’s treatment/procedure went well.
Our fellow Martina fan and Taira for full recoveries.

Prayers for all.
My daughter Amy just had a good oncology checkup again which I am very thankful for. My Mom's foot ulcer is healed and the pressure point sore is looking so much better and very small now just since December when she moved in with me from the nursing home.
When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly.--Patrick Overton -

As strong as I try to be for my mother, I do hide my feelings when I am around her. I am praying for her these days. She has conquered cancer twice (melanoma and uterine). She is going back to the dermatologist this week for another "spot" and I am really praying and hoping that history does not repeat itself.
May God be with all those that need His strength!
