December Prayer Thread
My apologies again this month for being late with this thread. I, like many here have been extra busy. This thread is very special to me, I did not want to slap something together, just to be here by the first.

Re: December Prayer Thread
Starting with giving gratitude for the news that the Martina fan club member stricken with cancer has recently completed chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Praying for continued good news and will be so delighted if our member will be able to enjoy some food this Christmas.
Need to add to the ongoing prayers for our member James and his parents. His grandfather was just placed under Hospice care. May acceptance, comfort and strength sustain them. This is an especially difficult time of year to hear such news. I have faith that the Hospice nurses will see that he is comfortable and that all of his needs are met.
I would like to add Heidi and her mother to our prayer list. It must be so difficult for Heidi to see her mother in a condition that is only the smallest fraction of the incredible woman that she once was.
Continued prayers for Monica's mother for healing of her cancer. Strength and prayers to Monica and her family as well.
I am so sorry to say that our Billy is still without a job, may have to go on disability. His computer recently crashed and is beyond repair. Connecting with others over his love of music was a form of solace for him. If anyone has a computer that they are not using, please let me know, I can get it sent to him, thank you.
Ongoing prayer also to Leigh's son in laws brother, her former sister in law too. Prayers for you too Arlene, please update us when you can. So glad to hear of improvement with your nephew and husband Consider Brett added!.
Sabine, how is your friend with depression? Still praying!
Kim, how is your neighbor? Praying..... for your dog and Monica's too.
Reposting from Kristenloveswes that was placed in the Nov. thread due to my being late starting the Dec. one. So sorry! Please update, prayers being sent!!!!!!!
I know it's December but can you pray my mom's baby sister Linda. She lost one one of her sons on Dec. 22nd and it will be the first anniversary of his death. My cousin was visiting with friends in Indiana over Christmas break and they happened to be typical teenagers walking out on a thin layer of ice on the lake. Halfway back across they broke the ice.

Re: December Prayer Thread
Carolyn, how beautifully put and I can only say : thoughts and prayers to everyone mentioned above.
The good news on my side is that my friend seems to be better - for the moment - it is unfortunately a battle with many ups and downs - let's hope that the "up" will last a while !
Unfortunately I have two people from my side to add :
one is a good friend of my mum's from the Netherlands - who has always been very dear to me as she was there at the most difficult time of my life - and who after having had her share of life's difficulties has finally found happiness, only now to learn that the cancer she has also been batteling is back.
The second one that I would like to add to the prayer list is the little girl of a co-worker of mine from the UK. I will post the following link not to ask for any donations but to include this brave little girl and her family in your prayer list. I'm hoping that they will be able to make the therapy in Germany which will be for about half a year. http://www.childrenscancer.org.uk/our-appeals/millie.php
Prayers also send out to Julie D who recently lost her dad.
Thoughts and Prayers go out to our fellow fan club member, James, Heidi, Monica, Billy, Leigh and Kim and their loved ones.
Carolyn, most certainly your mum's baby sister and your whole family - including you - will be included in my prayers as well !
On a personal note may I close this with a big thank you for all the friends that I have found here. I am happy to report that the "situation" that I have been struggeling with most of this year has now been resolved. Love you all and you are all certainly in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: December Prayer Thread
Carolyn, thank you once again, for doing this thread. You really do have a heart of gold.
To answer your question, my elderly neighbor who had the heart aneurism is now home and having family stay with her. She is improving slowly, but it's hard to recoup from that kind of surgery, with a 2 foot incision (99 staples total), in your 80's. But, she's tough, so I pray that she'll get through this.
As far as our pooch, well, she just turned 16. She is dealing with arthritis in her hips and struggles a bit some days to stand, but that's to be expected. She has a vet appointment next week, so I will ask if there's anything I can give her to help. Other than that, she's a happy sweet, healthy dog, and I hope she stays that way for at least a little while longer!
Mama Curls just had surgery and is home from the hospital today, but has a bit of a recovery ahead of her. Prayers for her healing would be greatly appreciated!

Re: December Prayer Thread
Hope everyone is improving or doing the best they can. The twin nephews with the kidney transplant are doing great! My 92 year old Mother moved in with us last Thursday and my husband is now helping me care of her now. My husband is doing very good with his issues with love and support so miracles can happen. Brett the young man is still getting his cancer treatment. My neices & nephew are missing their oldest brother and it was hard for them on his birthday and Christmas. My daughter Amy worked at the adult cancer house on Christmas day and it was too quiet because ~ hallelujah ~ everyone who was staying got to go home and weren't patients in the hospital either! Sending prayers also.

Re: December Prayer Thread
Eric you summed it up quite nicely. Thank you. So Happy to hear about the twins.
My daughter's brother in law is having a full lung removed after the first of the year, the first week in fact. He has to go to Boston for this. They expect this to go well and will pray for that until more is known.
My ex sister in law, had the surgery, 7 lymph nodes where tested, no cancer there, but she has to still proceed with chemo to be sure it gone. She is positive and in high spirits.
So much is going on in my family that I am unable to share. Your prayers and thoughts mean more to me than I can ever say.
I am so happy to have you all. The circle created here, (thank you Carolyn), makes life that much better. We can hope and pray that our strength, love and compassion will help each and everyone one of us.
Continued prayers for everyone on here.
