When I was a child, my parents accidentally wrapped the trash box and gave it to me as a present from Santa. When I opened it, I scattered all the trash searching for a present inside crying and yelling Santa only gave me garbage....

I assure you, it wasn't funny at the time to me or the parents. Only in retrospect does the humor come out.

I never gave any bad gifts..

Worst gifts giver were stuff from Avon like body wash and stuff like that.

The worst Christmas ever has nothing to do with presents. One year my husband spent Christmas and New Years with uncontrollable nosebleeds after an accident with an air hose at work. Just missed his eye so we were very lucky and the kids and I brought our presents to the hospital. Other years were when family members were sick and not expected to live very long were sad ones but you have to make the most of the time that you have together. It is always pretty quiet at hospitals that time of year because they try to let everyone go home that can and the caring staff spread holiday cheer to those who can't.

I got a knee length yellow fuzzy housecoat for Christmas a few years after we were married instead of the floor length white cozy one I had on my list. Needless to say I returned it to the store and someone had returned the one that I wanted ,so it worked out in the end. My husband as I found out does not have the proper skills to purchase gifts for others so I help him out big time. Even Santa could use a little bit of help!

Amy, that's great, I would have done the same thing with that or a Sugerland CD.

My worst gift, only because it was embarrasing, was a Case of Rubbers that I opened up in front of my parents. My brother thought it was funny...
